As I was reading, something I was reminded of is that one of the ideas behind flipped instruction is increasing the time for deliberate practice and changing its location (from home,away from the instructor to school within the reach of the instructor). I think a worthy challenge for us is to find ways to improve the quality (and in some cases quantity) of student deliberate practice. The article gives some great must-haves that I think could apply to any deliberative practice whether at home or in class.
